Batches & serial numbers

Track batches with expiry dates and individual devices end to end.

Turn on batch tracking for items with a shelf life or manufacturer batch, and serial number tracking for devices. Lavesy records batch and best-before date on receipt, suggests the batch that expires first when you withdraw (FEFO), and lets you choose a specific batch or individual serial numbers when you need to.

Benefits

  • Record batch and best-before date on goods receipt
  • Withdraw by FEFO by default – or pick a specific batch
  • Receive one serial number per unit and withdraw specific ones
  • Blocked or expired batches can no longer be posted to
  • Receive and withdraw in the warehouse app on your phone, too

How it works

  1. 1Enable batch or serial number tracking on the item
  2. 2Enter batch and best-before date or serial numbers on receipt
  3. 3On withdrawal keep “Automatic (FEFO)” or choose a batch/serial number
  4. 4See stock per batch and the history of each serial number at any time

Frequently asked questions

Which batch is used when I withdraw stock?

By default the batch with the earliest expiry date (FEFO). You can instead choose a specific batch that has stock at the selected storage bin.

Does it work in the warehouse app?

Yes. In the warehouse app you enter batch number and best-before date, or one serial number per unit, on receipt and choose batch or serial numbers on withdrawal. Transfers and corrections of individual serial numbers are done in the web app.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Batches and serial numbers are included in every plan, including the free one.
